I will forever miss you, my dear.
You were the last of an era. A time both formative, and tumultuous. You were the last of the twin rocks that I held on to for dear life when I had nothing else.
We traveled together with your sister. We moved to and fro, and not once did you complain – only adapted and flourished.
I know that it is a difficult thing I must do, and it is the loving and generous act that I fear and loathe the most. I don’t want to do it, but I know it must be done. I want to be selfish, and hold on to you forever, because I know that I don’t want to ever experience that kind of pain again.
I hope that you will forgive me for what I must do, but I hope that you understand I do it because I can’t bear to see you suffer any longer. I want you to only have ever known the joy and happiness your insufferable nature caused.
And I hope and pray that one day when all is said and done we can be together again and walk the rainbow bridge, and be with your sister again.
I love you.
